Approach to Renewable Energy
What is "Renewable Energy"?
Renewable energy includes solar, wind, geothermal, small and medium-sized hydropower, and biomass.
For Japan, which is resource-poor and dependent on foreign countries for most of its fossil fuels such as oil, coal, and natural gas, which account for about 80% of its current energy supply, this is an important low-carbon domestic energy source with the advantages of "no greenhouse gas emissions" and "domestic production.
*Set a target of 22-24% for the ratio of renewable energy in FY2030 (announced by the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry).
Our Approach
Our company takes environmental protection and sustainability seriously. The transition to renewable energy is central to our vision and mission.
We are committed to promoting the widespread use and utilization of renewable energy sources through the following initiatives
- Investment in solar power : We are actively involved in the installation of solar power generation systems. We will install solar panels at our own facilities and locations to ensure a clean and sustainable power supply.
- Research and development of renewable energy : We are actively involved in the research and development of new renewable energy technologies. Through the exploration of innovative solutions and new ways of generating electricity, we will bring sustainable change to the energy industry.
We also participate in the development, implementation, and operation of solar power plants, as well as the supply of components and maintenance services for floating offshore wind farms. - Raising environmental awareness : We will work with our employees, customers, and partners to increase environmental awareness and understanding.
